What is your returns policy?

New garments:

Online purchases are checked thoroughly before being carefully packaged for their trip. Upon receipt of your purchase, if the item appears to you flawed or damaged, or is significantly different to expectation, please contact Milly S. as soon as possible - no later than 7 days from the date of delivery - by email or telephone (+61 3 9347 1333). We will be happy to discuss options with you but must receive the item back before an outcome can be agreed upon. If the item is agreed to be flawed or damaged, we will do our best to either fix it or arrange a replacement. In the event that neither is possible, we may offer a full refund. Where the garment has not met expectation, an exchange or credit may be granted. Refunds are not easy for small businesses to manage; we hope that our customers will take time and care when making purchases.

Returning items must be sent within the following 7 days, unused and in original condition, with all tags still attached. Postage for returning items will be paid by the purchaser, unless the item is deemed flawed. In case of exchange, Milly Sleeping will pay postage for one replacement item.

Secondhand garments:

As stipulated in each item description, there can be no return of secondhand 'Millicent' garments for credit or refund. In some instances, an exchange - in person only - may be negotiated.

All online sales are, of course, subject to availability. The concurrent display of items, both in the Abbotsford showroom and online, means that overlapping purchases are possible (though not likely). We do our best to adjust our inventory quickly to prevent this misfortune. In the event that we cannot fulfil an order, an immediate refund will be processed for goods paid.

Can I pay with credit card? 

At the Abbotsford showroom, we accept payments via Eftpos, and Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards. We can also pass on account details for direct credit transactions.

Online shoppers can choose to complete transactions with Paypal, or Visa or Mastercard (or an alternative payment arrangement can be made).

What are your 'shipping' terms? Do you post items interstate/overseas?

Oui. It is, in fact, our pleasure to post packages to diverse and remote destinations.

Within Australia, shipping is currently free for purchases of $100 and above. Orders are sent in Australia Post Express envelopes (with tracking) unless otherwise arranged. At the request of the customer, or for purchases over $300, items are sent using Registered Express, and a recipient’s signature is required at the point of delivery.

Items are posted to international customers by registered airmail and incur a non-refundable charge of $10 AUD. Delivery time is approximately 5-10 days, depending on the destination and time of year.

All new orders will be confirmed by email, and processed as quickly as possible. Parcels are sent on Wednesdays and Sundays. This means that orders placed from Sun. evening through to Weds. morning will arrive on Thursday or Friday (within Aus.); orders placed between Weds. evening and Sun. morning will arrive on Monday or Tuesday. 

Do I have to set up any accounts to shop with Milly Sleeping online?

You don't have to (but you can) set up a user account with Milly. When moving through the checkout steps, you are welcome to identify simply as a 'guest'. You may like to enter your email address if you are likely to shop with us from time to time - we understand if you don't want to but this does allow us to do things like apply credit to your account.

You don't have to (but you can) set up a Paypal account, which certainly enables swift online purchases (in accordance with Paypal's own T & Cs). Alternatively, you can shop with Milly Sleeping using your credit card details.

Do you offer layby?

Yes. To commence a layby, we request a deposit of at least 25% of the total cost (or $30 - whichever is the greater amount). Goods will be held for up to four weeks, with installments to be paid to Milly S. fortnightly (either in person or by phone). Please note that layby items are not eligible for return, and if a layby is cancelled within the four-week period, a cancellation fee equal to the minimum deposit will apply. Any goods held for extended periods at the client’s request may attract an additional fee if cancelled.

Online shoppers are welcome to arrange layby purchases via email.


Will you pass on my details to any third party, or send me inordinate amounts of 'promotional' spam?

No. Any personal information given to Milly S, by our customers, including addresses and credit card details, will remain private. Such information will not be sold, rented or released to any other party without express consent.

Online customers will be required to provide Milly S. with an email address and phone number when making a purchase but this should not result in the receipt of unsolicited mail. Shoppers may elect to join Milly Sleeping's database, and can also unsubscribe from the resultant quarterly newsletter service at any time.
